This 7-pins dot-printer belongs to the CBM 3001 series. It has a IEEE 488 bus interface. A robust but noisy matrix printer.

Commodore MPS 801 Matrix Printer [MPS 801] [Commodore]

One of the first printers offered by Commodore. It uses a 7-pins print head, printing only when moving from left to right. The print resolution was 10 characters per inch, each character printed as a 6x7 dot matrix. The speed was around 50 character per second. The printer connects to the computer by a serial interface, the IEEE-488 bus of the C64. The MPS-801 has been produced by the Japanese company Seikosha.

The Brother EP-44 is a terminal, typewriter and printer all in one, even as word processor or calculator in a limited way. Its functionality was implemented in a nicely designed, small machine. Unlike earlier 9-pins dot matrix printers (EP-20/22), the EP-44 is equipped with an 18x24 dot matrix printing head. It can produce near-letter type quality. The printer is developed by Brother Industries in close cooperation with Centronics. The EP-44 has has a serial RS-232C printer port (DB-25 female).
