Overview of important computers items and networking and connectivity items from the UT historic study collection.
The inventory is selected by Jan Poesse and Albert Schouten as presentation for the Stichting Academische Erfgoed (SAE) Computer working group.

Dutch designed and/or manufactured computers in the period 1952 until 1987. Compiled by Jan Poesse for SAE/Computer working groep in 2025. Some items are also available in the CSV UT collection while others are in the TU Delft, UvA, and dutch computer musea collections. A number of items are not available anymore in any collection.
For the UT references are made to contributions by UT employees (prof Gerrit Blaauw and prof Arie Duijvestijn) and ex UT students who started a computer company (Holborn, Sirex).

In 1964 introduceerde IBM de 360 computer serie. Voor de hardware realisatie ontwikkelde IBM haar eigen technologie voor logische componenten omdat IBM de toen opkomende integrated circuit technologie, zoals b.v. de Transistor Transistor Logic (TTL) van Texas Instruments, niet vertrouwde. De IBM technologie werd Solid Logic Technology (SLT) genoemd.

Op 7 september 2023 was er in de koffiekamer Zilverling 4022 op de UT campus een kleine ceremonie ter gelegenheid van de overdracht van de papieren nalatenschap van professor Duijvestijn aan het archief van de UT. Ik heb daarbij op basis van steekwoorden een voordracht gehouden, waarvan ik de tekst een aantal dagen later alsnog op papier heb gezet. In de rechterkolom hieronder leest u wat ik (ongeveer) gezegd heb, in de linkerkolom staan cursief her en der aantekeningen. Dat zijn aanvullingen op mijn tekst, soms ter nadere toelichting, soms omdat ik me achteraf realiseer dat ik ze had willen uitspreken, maar dat gewoon ben vergeten. Paper of Frits Buessink about a replica of the large twin-Tesla generator, designed and built by the late Prof. Damstra. It shows the generation of lightning strikes and has been built as project of the Historic Study Collection.
